Frequently asked questions
How does onboarding work?
Sign-in is Entra External ID OIDC — no self-serve passwords to manage. Individual accounts get a free sandbox; Integrator and Enterprise organisations are approval-gated, so we provision your org tenant once access is confirmed. Site servers activate with a one-time code, drawing licences from your organisation’s pool.
Where does our data live?
All platform data is hosted in Azure Australia East. For strict sites the platform also runs on-prem, and the AI tier can be disabled entirely to support an air-gapped deployment. Residency, security practices, and who processes what are laid out on our Trust & security page.
Is on-prem a different product to cloud?
No. The cloud service and the on-prem site server are built from one codebase, published as two artifacts — Site and Cloud. Cloud is a topology, not a separate edition — your device types, processes, and screens move between them without re-platforming.
We run a water utility / gas plant / data centre — is the library for us?
The device model is vertical-agnostic, and you can author your own types in any vertical today — the free sandbox is exactly for that. The shipped libraries cover pumps & drives, IO & controllers, and materials handling; full water-utilities, gas, and data-centre libraries are planned next, sequenced by what beta users ask for first. Can the AI control my plant?
No. The AI is advisory-only: it explains what the PLC is doing and recommends actions. It can propose a command, but every command requires explicit operator confirmation — the AI never actuates equipment itself. Hard interlocks stay in IO modules and safety relays, consistent with IEC 61511 and ISO 13849.
Can we run production on the beta?
Not yet — and we say so deliberately. The beta is for evaluation, device-type authoring and simulation, and supervised commissioning trials alongside your existing control systems; it is not intended for production control of live plant while the beta label is on. Your controllers keep final authority over physical outputs regardless — but production control should stay on your current system until we take the label off. Production engagements are scoped per engagement: talk to us.
Is there an SLA and a data processing agreement?
Yes. Paid Enterprise subscriptions are covered by our Service Level Agreement — an availability commitment for the cloud-hosted tenant plus priority support response targets. Where we process personal data on your behalf, our Data Processing Agreement applies, backed by the subprocessor register.
